From Cultural Self-consciousness to Cultural Harmony

建设和谐文化是构建社会主义和谐社会的重要任务。创造和谐文化需要文化自觉。要继承中国的优秀传统文化,充分解读和挖掘传统文化的精髓,推动传统文化与其他文化之间的对话和交流;努力在全社会树立和谐的思想观念,引导人们用和谐的思维认识事物,用和谐的态度对待问题,用和谐的方式处理矛盾,使崇尚和谐、维护和谐成为全社会的共同追求。

Constructing harmonious culture is an important task of building socialist harmonious society, which requires our cultural self-consciousness. We should not only fully understand and inherit the Chinese excellent traditional culture, but also promote dialogue and exchange between our traditional culture and others. Trying to establish the idea of harmony and lead people to consider with the thought and the attitude of harmony, and deal with the contradiction in a harmonious way, thus to make harmony a common nursuit respected and orotected by the whole society.
