唐人小说中的摩尼宝珠

Moni Bead in the Novels of the Tang Dynasty

佛经中的摩尼是珠之总名,又名如意珠,具有多种异能。唐人受佛经的影响,由摩尼宝珠的某种异能联想创作了小说中奇异的宝珠。这些宝珠根据其功能特性可分为如下几种:济世救民的转轮圣宝,龙神相夺的聚宝神珠,生泉离垢的净水摩尼。这些宝珠故事虽然已经中国化,但仍然与佛经有着密切的关系。

In sutra, the moni as well as wishful bead is a universal appellation of bead. It is provided with plenty of egregious power. The writers in the Tang Dynasty were affected by the story about moni bead in sutra. They created some fantastic beads in their novels by assoeiation of ideas in sutra. Basing the function of beads were taken on, there are three kinds of them. Such as, the bead which can save the world, the one which can get much jewelers together, the third one which can purify dreggy water. Though, these stories on moni bead are Chinese, they are still related with sutra＇s stories.
