On the “Chanyuan Alliance”

“澶渊之盟”一直被认为是一个屈辱性的条约,北宋政权在战争形势有利的情况下开“岁币”之例与所谓两宋“积弱”的形势。但是,从条约签订前的两国发展态势,双方统治者对于战争的态度以及签订的过程来看,“澶渊之盟”都具有历史必然性,而该条约对双方也都具有一定的积极影响。

However, according to the development of both Song and Liao Courts before the treaty＇s signing, the two powers＇ attitudes toward the war and the process of the treaty＇s signing, ＂Chanyuan Alliance＂ has a historic inevitability, and the treaty of the two powers also has some positive effect.
