A Brief Analysis of Poems of the Tang Dynasty from Chinese Cultural Perspective

唐诗之所以繁荣,成为中华文化的一个高峰,是诗歌发展到成熟阶段的必然结果,也是汉语发展到一定阶段的自然趋势。如何读诗,如何理解诗,是探讨唐诗时所不能回避的问题。诗并不神秘,要更好地理解唐诗,必须从文化传统和汉语言特点这两方面着手。

Poems in the Tang Dynasty, as the most flouring part of traditional Chinese literature, are the result of poems developed at the highest stage and is also the natural development trend of Chinese language in certain phase. How to read poems and how to interpret them are questions cannot be avoided. Actually, poems are not so mysterious. To have a full and better understanding of poems, one is supposed to analyze them from cultural traditions and linguistic features of Chinese language.
