论现代中国“小城”叙事的文化意蕴

On the Cultural Implication of Narration of the Modern Chinese Small Town

小城作为都市与乡村间的中介环节,具有二向性功能;乡村文化属于自然/传统型文化,都市文化属于现代/传统型文化,小城文化属于自然/传统/现代型文化而以传统文化为主,并可类分为“三型”;现代中国的小城及小城叙事显现出从文化冲突到文化整合的演进历程,意蕴丰富,发人深省。

Small town is the medium between city and country, which has the dual function to understand both of them. The country culture belongs to the natural-traditional one; and city culture is the mixture of modern and tradition; however, the culture of small town has the feature of nature and modern society, and with the main color of tradition, and could be further classified into three types. The narration of the modern Chinese small town culture reflects the evolution of Chinese culture's confliction and conformity, which is meaningful and thought provoking for the scholars.
