The Conditions and Strategies of China’s Avoiding “Comparative Advantage Trap”

比较优势理论是西方古典经济学中关于国际分工的最重要的理论。近年,某些发展中国家在适用这一理论时出现了一些对进一步发展不利的形势,理论界称之为落入了“比较优势陷阱”。然而,中国自改革开放以来,在发展本国的对外经济贸易过程中基本遵循了比较优势原理而没有落入所谓“陷阱”,这与中国经济本身的条件和中国所执行的发展策略是分不开的。

The theory of comparative advantage is the most fundamental theory of international division of labor in the classic occidental economics. But in recent years, there has been a serious situation in some developing countries where the theory of comparative advantage is applied unfavorable to further development, which is academically called ＂comparative advantage trap＂. However, China has generally followed the principle of comparative advantage in the process of developing foreign trade and successfully avoided ＂the trap＂ owing to China＇s own economic conditions and the development strategies.
