An Initial Study of Sun Yat-sen's Socialism Theory

孙中山先生是近代中国最早接触、研究并热情宣传社会主义的人之一。孙中山社会主义理论即民生主义的主要内容是“平均地权”和“节制资本”,旨归是消除资本主义弊端。这一理论是20世纪初中国人追求和探索社会主义思想的高峰,具有深远的历史和现实意义。

Sun Yat-sen was one of the first men to come into contact with, research and enthusiastically propagate socialism. The main content of his socialism, i. e., his ＂Principle of People＇s Livelihood＂, is equalization of landownership and restriction of capitalism with a view to eradicating the ills of capitalism. His theory represented the height of the Chinese people＇s pursuit and exploration of socialism; it is of great historical significance and is still of value to our own times.
