Mao Zedong Tried to Maintain the Progressiveness of the Ruling Party

新中国成立后,毛泽东积极探索在社会主义革命和建设条件下执政党执政的基本规律,深化了对中国共产党执政的基本经验的认识。他提出的党员要加强思想教育、坚定理想信念、全心全意为人民服务等一系列科学理论,对于我们在新的历史条件下保持党的先进性和加强党的执政能力建设仍有重要的指导意义。

After the founding of New China, Mao Zedong made active approach to the basic law of governance by the ruling Party under the conditions of socialist revolution and socialist construction. He put forward the idea that Party members must be ideologically educated, foster the lofty ideal of communism, fortify their conviction in communism and wholeheartedly serve the people. Today, this idea is still significant for the maitenance of Party＇ s progressiveness and for building up Party＇ s governing capacity under the new conditions.
