The Writing Style of Lei Ping-yang’s Essays

作为当前“新散文”的重要作家,雷平阳的散文有以下三个特点:一是借鉴拉美魔幻现实主义的创作方法,表现出对民族传统观念的关注;二是以唯美的方式揭示丑陋的人性与欲望;三是以感性的方式切近事物的本质,重视意境的营造和词语的陌生化效果,具有诗性因素。雷平阳等人的新散文创作在一定程度上代表了中国当代散文的新动向。

Being one of the important representatives of new prose, Lei Ping-yang＇ s works have the following three characteristics. First, showing his concern for the traditional ethical ideas on the basis of using Latin American writing style of magic realism for reference. Second, revealing the ugly humanity and desire by the means of absolute aesthetics. Third, the poetic element which means that he approaches to the essence of things by the help of perception and emphasizes the creation of artistic conception as well as the unfamilarized effect of words. To some extent, the creation of new prose from Lei Pingyang and his peers shows the new tendency in contemporary Chinese prose.
