王亚南教育思想述评

On WANG Ya-nan's Educational Philosophy

王亚南是现代中国著名的经济学家和教育家,解放后厦门大学第一任校长。他在大学执教三十多年,积累了丰富的教学经验和办学经验,对教育有深刻的理解,尤其对现代教育的本质和功能,对如何办好综合性大学、如何培养和使用人才以及如何治学,多有精辟的见解。王亚南的教育思想贯穿着马克思主义的认识论与方法论,是我国教育理论的一份宝贵遗产。

WANG Ya-nan, a well-known economist and educator in modem China, was the first president of Xiamen University after Liberation. During his three decades of professorship, his experience of teaching and higher-education management was greatly enriched. He developed his own original understandings of higher education in such respects as the nature and function of modem education, how to manage comprehensive universities, how to cultivate and use talents, and how to do scholarly research. His educational philosophy is consistent with Marxist epistemology and methodology and it is a precious theoretical legacy in the history of education in China.
