摘要
为了提高恒星白天观测的能力,提出一种偏振观测的新方法。大气散射具有很强的偏振特性,而恒星星光的偏振度与之相比往往非常小,该方法正是利用大气散射偏振特性与恒星星光偏振特性的差别,从偏振图像中提取恒星,从而提高恒星的识别概率。通过自行研制的偏振图像采集系统对接天文望远镜获取恒星偏振图像,进行恒星的偏振图像提取,实验结果表明该方法能有效地提取恒星目标,实现恒星白天观测。
A polarization method is presented for improving ability of star observation in daytime. Atmospheric scattering light has distinct polarization characteristics, but the degree of star light polarization is very small. Star was extracted from image information based on the different polarization characteristics between air light and star radiance. The polarization images of star obtained by ground-base image polarimeter were used for the experiment of star extraction. The experiment results show that this method is very effective on star observation in daytime.
