Roller press works on ＂interprarticle communition＂ mechanism. The paper analyses the mechanism of roller press and describes its advantages which include energy saving, production increase, roller surface wear reduction, steel consumption decrease and specific area increase of product. The cases of its application in metalli mines of various countries are also presented. Now, its application field is on a continuous expansion with an exception of cement industry, suggesting a broad application prospect.
