On the Relation Between Pragmatics and Systemic Functional Linguistics

有学者认为,语用学与系统功能语言学各自的理论可以互补。但是,互补应有广义知识层面的互补和狭义理论层面的互补。通过对语用学和系统功能语言学基本思想的缘起和相互关系的分析,本文作者认为二者之间的互补关系应当是广义的知识层面的互补,它与理论层面的差异很大,应当明确加以区分。

It is argued that there exists a complementary relation in their respective theories of pragmatics and systemic functionary linguistics. It is not wrong to say that there is complementary relation in knowledge in a broad sense, and a complementary one in theory in a narrow sense. An analysis of the fundamental theories of pragmatics and systemic functional linguistics in this paper reveals that the complementary relation between them lies in knowledge in the broad sense, not in the theories themselves.
