语境角色认知与公示语翻译

在公示语这一特殊言语交际过程中,译者与英语读者应根据话语的情景语境选择恰当的角色关系。公示语体现了语用行为,关系到交际的成败。然而,公示语的翻译问题很多,一方面因其文化误读,或者语境角色认知错位;另一方面也反映了译者对翻译的规律认识不足。

Translators and readers of public signs have a special relationship based on the context. Public signs can represent a pragmatic behavior, which has great impact on the communicating process. However, there are many problems in the translating of public signs. On one hand, it is because of the misreading of culture, or fail in role setting. On the other hand, it also reflects the insufficient knowledge of translating rules.
