全球LPG供应正在快速增长,预计2006-2012年全球LPG增量将超过4600万吨,而世界LPG需求的增长略低于供应的增长。亚洲已经成为世界最大的LPG消费地区,未来远东地区的LPG需求主要取决于中国市场的发展。中东地区在石化行业不断发展的驱动下也正在成为世界LPG的需求中心。2008年以及其后数年,世界LPG供应过剩的情况将更加明显。这种缘于高油价的供应过剩将对中国LPG市场产生较大的影响,中国的LPG需求和进口将受到抑制,国产LPG的地位将上升。国产LPG与进口LPG之间将呈现新的竞争格局。

Global LPG supplies are expanding rapidly, with growth from 2006 to 2012 expected to exceed 46 million tons, at a bit faster rate than global LPG demand. Asia is now the world's largest LPG consuming region, and future LPG demand in the Far East will be determined largely by the Chinese market. Propelled by its fast- expanding petrochemical industry, the Middle East is emerging as a big LPG guzzler. LPG oversupply due to high oil prices will become more obvious from 2008 onward, with a big impact on China's LPG market where LPG demand and imports will shrink and domestic LPG products will gain a bigger share of the market at the expense of imported products.
