2006年河北钢铁工业总体发展势力良好,呈现生产增长快,结构明显改善,节能降耗显著、经济效益较好、民企发展迅速等特点。但应高度重视由量到质,由大到强的转变,进一步提升河北省钢铁工业竞争,尤其要充分利用国内和国际两种资源和市场,推进布局向沿海转移,整合港口资源,加强行业重组和联合,加强技改和结构调整,实现持续和可持续强劲发展。

In 2006 the iron and steel industry has generally maintained the satisfactory development trend though efforts have to be made to transform from quantity to quality and from big industry to strong industry. In particular, exploit the domestic and foreign resources and market, strengthen the regrouping and association inside the industry, promote technological innovation and structure adjustment so as to realize sustainable development.
