Igor Feodorovich Stravinsky was an influential composer of the 20th century who had broden many new nusical grounds throghout his life. His compositions, which cncompassed a variety of styles, reflect the different compositional styles during different periods of the last century. Stravinsky was once acknowledged as＂ a traveler who journeyed across various periods.＂ His mastery in both traditonal and contemporary methods, and his innovative approach to European music, had contributed to the uniqueness of his works. Stravinsky＇s first opera, The Nightingale-a masterpiece of his ＂Russian period＂ -already foreshadowed his skills in dramatic writing.
