摘要
识解操作(construal operations)是人在语言处理过程中潜在的心理过程和心理资源。侧重和基体是识解操作之一。认知语法认为语义是意象形成的过程,每个语义都对应于一种意象。侧重和基体对意象的形成起着重要的作用。本文的观点是:名动互转是以相同认知域为基体的不同侧重所引起的。名词转用为动词时,在相同基体上侧重的内容扩展了,动词转用为名词时,侧重的内容减少了。本文还论述了认知域的概念和知识系统对侧重内容的制约作用。
Construal operations are the underlying psychological processes and resources that are employed in the interpretation of linguistic expressions. Profile and base are basic construal operations. According to cognitive grammar, symbolic units of a language embody different images which are crucial to the semantic value of these unites. Profile and base are the most significant factors that shape the forming of images. This paper argues that conversions, including denominal verbs and deverbal nouns, designate different profile on the same base in the relevant cognitive domain. Denominal verbs indicate the expansion of the content of profile, while deverbal nouns indicate the reduction of the content of profile. This paper also addresses the constraint on profiling imposed by the conceptual and knowledge system of cognitive domain.
