以胡锦涛为总书记的新一届中央领导集体,明确提出构建社会主义和谐社会的要求。我国人的现代化,经历了曲折的过程,但是并未取得明显的成果。近些年我国日益重视人的现代化的建设,可以说,人的现代化是构建社会主义和谐社会的题中应有之义,人的现代化是构建和谐社会所必须的,构建和谐社会的过程也必将推进人的现代化进程。

The new leading collective in which Hu Jintao is the general secretary presents the demands for constructing the harmonious socialist society dearly and definitely. Chinese modernization of humanity has traversed a tortuous course without obvious fruits. These years, China has been paying high attention to constructing the modernization of humanity. It may be said that the modernization of humanity is the implication and the necessity of constructing the harmonious socialist society. Meanwhile, the course of constructing the harmonious society will definitely promote the process of modernization of humanity.
