摘要 美国未来总统们的“Web2.0商数”,决定了他们的“钱途”和“前途”。 In the 2008 US presidential election the lnternet is taking on a bigger part than ever. This is what the“Blog Opinion'session of New York Daily News had to say:“in the 2008 election, the winner will be the one,not who best understands politics, but who use the lnternet better to further their campaign. Compared to 4 years ago,the lnternet has come a long way, back then YouTube,MySpace,Twitter,Wikis and other web2.0 sites had just started or were not there at all.The high level interaction is still a wishful thought. But now,the Net has become an important factor affecting society, economy, politics and the fate of every presidential candidate. In the first quarter of 2007,Democrats and Republicans are having good results, the funds they have raised are pretty amazing:Hillary Clinton 26 million USD;Barack Obama, another Democrat, ranked the 2nd in the country-with 25 million USD.Republicans donations seem slower in coming. Mitt Romney,Rudy Giuliani and John McCain raised 20million,15million and 14million each. This time around, 30% of funds are raised through the Internet, not a point to be ignored. Hillary holds the lime light and has a pretty enviable position. But the biggest stir is caused by the black grass-roots candidate Barack Obama. His team claimed online donations from 100,000 people netting 6.9million USD.Hillary pulled in 4.2million on the lnternet and less than half the number of donors.Obama's support rate is catching up with Hillary's. Analysts say that Hillary is focusing on generous corporate's donations, especially the ones over 1000USD.While Obama is focusing on normal citizens-he is using‘The Long Tail’in politics.
