无籽西瓜新品种鄂西瓜12号的选育

A New Seedless Watermelon F_1 Hybrid —‘Exigua No.12'

以黑皮红瓤四倍体材料W4-48-3为母本,花皮红瓤二倍体材料W2-38-42-1为父本配制而成无籽西瓜一代杂种鄂西瓜12号。中熟,果实发育期35d(天)左右;果实圆形,果皮墨绿色,覆蜡粉,皮厚1.2cm左右;果肉红色,中心糖含量11%～12%,边糖含量7%～8%;单果质量5～7kg,每667m2产量2500kg左右,适宜湖北省及周边地区栽培。

Exigua No. 12 is a new red flesh seedless watermelon F1 hybrid developed by crossing tetraploid inbred line W4 - 48 - 3 with diploid inbred line W2 - 38 - 42 - 1. It is mid-maturity and takes 35 days from flowering to maturity. The fruit is black green rind,bright red flesh,round with 11% - 12 % of center sugar content,the rind is about 1.2 cm thick. Average fruit weight is 5 - 7 kg. The yield is about 37.5 t · hm^ -2. It is suitable for cultivation in Hubei.
