According to the need for health monitoring 0f liquid rocket propulsion systems andtaking into account the real Possibllity provided by the progress of medern science and technology,evolution of health monitoring technique of liquid rocket propulsion systems is discussed. The basicprinciple obeyed by the fault detection and diagnostics is elucidated. The main aspects such as systemframeworks, failure modes, algorithms of fault detection and diagnostics, control means and sensortechniques are briefly illustrated. The evolution trend of health monitoring technique of liquid rocketpropulsion systems is set out.
