This paper introduces the application of frequency converter with big power in the power system of the crane ship. It states the choice base for frequency converter with big power and makes a comparison between frequency converter and the tradiditional drive technology. Also it puts forward a few measures for solving the jamming of the harmonic wave of the frequency converter.
