慢性咳嗽由肺内外的疾病引起,气道炎症可能是其共同特征。引起的气道炎症类型不同。气道炎症在慢性咳嗽的发生中起重要作用,但咳嗽本身也可引起气道炎症性改变。控制气道炎症可能是慢性咳嗽治疗的一种有效手段。

Chronic cough is caused by many intrapulmonary and extrapulmonary diseases. Airway inflammation may be the common pathological feature, which palys an important role in the pathogenesis of chronic cough. However, severe cough can produce the inflammatory changes in the airway by itself. Therefore,controlling the airway inflammation may be used for effective management of chronic cough.
