Based on the analysis of the relationship between the automobile industry and the foundry production, it was pointed out that the safety-reliability, energy saving, low cost and comfort are main requirements for automobile castings. The foundry production should be adapted itself to the automobile industry in aspects of quality control, personnel education, new technology development and application. It was also pointed out that specialized and grouped batch flow line production and castings deep machining is the development direction of automobile foundry industry.
