摘要
TL16C754是带自动流控制的通用异步收发器,可以工作在FIFO模式,通过接收和发送寄存器的缓冲,来减少CPU的软件开销以提高系统的效率。拨码开关可以简便地实现RS232和RS485/422串口标准切换。本文以在嵌入式模块586-Engine的实现为例,介绍了利用TL16C754和拨码开关进行方便切换的RS232和RS485/422串口设计的硬件设计以及使用C语言编写的方便移植的驱动软件。
TL16C754 is an asynchronous communication element with autoflow control. It can be placed in an alternate FIFO mode. This relieves the CPU of excessive software overhead by buffering received and transmitted characters to increase system efficiency. The switching of RS232 and RS422/485 can be realized by operating Switch. Taking 586-Engine as an example, it introduced the hardware design by using TL16C754 and switch, and the C language programs which can be transplanted easily.
