摘要
从跨文化交际的角度,分析了汉英词汇之间的不对等、空缺现象、原因及翻译对策。指出词汇空缺现象反映了语言的民族性。词汇的不对等性导致了跨文化交际中的障碍。探讨了翻译工作者如何通过得体的翻译来消除这些障碍的方法。
The lexical gap between the understanding and translation from the source language to the target language resulted from cultrual differences were analyzed. It points out that non-equivalence at word level reflects that words in certain language are culture specific and therefore, as a translator,one must not only translate the words but also transmit the cultural information to the readers.
