摘要
论述了福克纳短篇小说《献给艾米莉的玫瑰》中悬念性叙述手法及象征手法的运用,进而探讨了该小说的艺术特色。作者采用第一人称复数“我们”的视角来叙述故事,使得小说的时序颠倒,结构奇特,情节跳跃,充满悬念;同时,作者还大量运用了象征手法,使得小说寓意深刻,耐人寻味。
The narrative technique of suspense of Faulker＇s short story ＂A Rose for Emily＂ and the application of symbolic skills were explicated. Then the art characteristics was discused, The author adopted the first person plurality ＂we＂ as the point of view to recount the story, which broke up the chronology of his narrative and caused structure oddity and plot variety with suspend. Simultaneously, the symbolic techniques that the author made a great use of can afford readers＇ moral profundity and thoughts.
