The Historical Development of Ideological and Political Theory Curriculum for Colleges and Universities

高校思想政治理论课应运而生于探索高校思想政治教育工作科学化的实践中,历经初步探索和曲折建立、恢复、改革发展等建设阶段,发生了许多深刻的变化:在课程设置顺序上,它经历了马克思主义理论课、再到思想政治品德课、最后到共同发展融合的演变过程;在名称上,它经历了从“高校马克思主义政治理论课”、到“高校思想品德课”、再到“高校两课”、又到“高校思想政治理论课”的演变过程;在基本建设上,它经历了由不成熟、不规范到比较成熟、规范,再到在深化改革中发展,又到在创新中发展的演变过程。

The course of ideological and political theory for colleges and universities was formulated in the practice of exploring the education of ideology and mortality in colleges and universities. It has experienced lots of deep changes after going through several developmental stages such as initiative exploration, tortuous foundation, recovery and reforming development. First, in terms of curriculum number, it has experienced the change from the course of Marxism Theory to the course of ideology and morality and then to the united development and integration. Secondly, in terms of name, it has undergone the change of name from ＂the Course of Marxism Ideology for Colleges and Universities＂ to ＂Ideology and Mortality Education for Colleges and Universities＂, to ＂the Two Courses for Colleges and Universities＂ and then to ＂the Course of Ideological and Political Theory for Colleges and Universities＂. Thirdly, as far as its fundamental construction is concerned, it has experienced the immaturity and non-conformity to comparable maturity and conformity, then to deepened reform and improvement and then to creative development.
