Chengu'an Editions of A Journey to the West:A Brief Depiction

就私人线装藏书中的《西游原旨》、《西游真诠》、《绣像西游真诠》等3种《西游记》的版本特征和与其他版本的对比作出简单的梳理和分析。通过对重刊《西游原旨》序分析,认为将《西游记》小说与长春真人邱处机的《西游记》视为一书,乃《西游记》成书以来捕风捉影之谈;列出已知的《西游真诠》的18种版本,其所藏在18种之外;对所藏泰山堂刊本《绣像西游真诠》的卷数和行款、绣像、书前序文进行分析,进而为《西游记》的版本研究提供新的信息。

The characteristics and contrasts of three editions of A Journey to the West, all of which are the author＇s private thread-bond collections, were analyzed in this paper. A careful study of the preface of Original Intention of A Journey to the West reveals that it is a rootless fallacy to identify A Journey to the West by Wu Cheng＇en with the one of the same title by the Taoist hermit Qiu Chuji. The author＇s private collection A True Explanation of A Journey to the West is not included in the 18 known versions. Moreover, analyses on the volumes, embroidered portraits and preface of A True Explanation of A Journey to the West with Embroidered Portrait can provide new information for researches on the novel＇s different editions.
