犯罪现场重建是对犯罪客观过程的整体构建,犯罪心理画像则可视为对犯罪行为人主观精神状态及其个体特征的描述和再现。犯罪现场重建和犯罪心理画像各具优劣,目前不能相互替代,因此在实际侦查过程中必须有机整合,才能准确地刻画犯罪行为特征、动机特征和犯罪者的人身特征,从而为侦查活动服务。犯罪现场重建和犯罪心理画像的整合即为犯罪重建。

The techniques of crime scenes reconstruction and criminal profiling are developing rapidly. Crime scenes reconstruction consists of the reconstruction of the whole crime committing process, while criminal profiling is the profile of the suspect＇ s mental state and individual characteristics. Helpful as they are, neither crime scenes reconstruction nor criminal profiling is good enough to replace the other one, it is for this reason that the integration of the two must be formed to better serve the criminal investigation. The integration of crime scenes reconstruction and criminal profiling is called crime process reconstruction.
