The Relationship between Outside Directors' Quantity and Enterprise Innovation Decision-making

研究了外部董事数量对企业创新决策的影响。总结了现有研究,发现有些实证研究结果与理论分析存在一定差距。试图从一个新的视角完善现有理论分析,并对实证结果进行了重新解释。结果表明,外部董事数量对企业创新决策的影响是董事会规模和结构共同作用的结果,一共可以产生四种不同的情形。

This paper studies the impact of the outside directors＂ quantity to the enterprise innovation decision-making. At first, we summarized the existing research and found some differences between the theoretical analysis and the empirical findings. Then, we tried to consummate the existing theory from a new perspective and reinterpret the empirical findings. The results indicated that the impact of the outside directors＇ quantity to the enterprise innovation decision-making is the result of the size and structure of board of directors. And it may have four kinds of different situations.
