摘要
在我们的居住文化中厨房几乎总是占据着某种中心地位。而厨房空间则随着各种社会性或技术性等层面的要素不断地起着变化。在所有居住空间里,厨房可算是消耗家务时间最长的空间之一。但厨房设计常缺乏针对体弱者的考虑,特别是老人、行动障碍者等在使用厨房空间时存在很大不便。
Since the 50' s of the 20th century, the concept of Barrier-free Design had been applied in design field for decades. It concerned, however, the group of people in limited number up to the International Year of the Disabled [1981]. From that year on more and more persons have realized that the establishment of comfortable cities is not only for the limited designated ones, but for everybody. So that Universal Design has appeared.
The present article introduces a kitchen design based on this thought for a wheelchair user and his family. In order to make the statement itself clear, the discussion starts with the basic principles of usual kitchen design. Thereafter the topic turns to the aspects of the skills in this design, and this paper illustrates how the design is satisfying the needs of both the disabled one and normal persons.
