On the Relation between Irony and Despair in the Novel The Boundless Longevity Temple

文章从作家们面对绝望所做出的不同处理方式谈起,在对比中,结合克尔凯郭尔关于反讽的理论,分析王小波在小说《万寿寺》中所运用的反讽,阐释其与绝望之间的精神关联。

The thesis started with different measures authors would take when they faced despair, and then analyzed the irony using in the novel The Boundless Longevity Temple by Wang Xiao bo, explained the relation between irony and despair, referring to the theory of Kierkegaard who is a philosopher and also a theologist in Danish.
