语言差异是文化差异的折射之一,翻译过程中的诸多不对等翻译正是以各民族的文化背景差异为其深厚的根源,表现在语言的各个层面上,如词汇空缺、词义联想、句法、语篇等。文章通过探讨以民族文化个性为基础的不对等翻译,揭示了跨文化交际中的种种障碍。

Culture is a ＂meaning potential＂ of the concerned language Linguistic difference is one of the reflections of cultural difference and many non-corresponding translation phenomena are just based on these deeply rooted cultural individuality. The phenomena can be found on every level of a language, such as, lexeme, associative meaning, syntax and text. By discussing these inequalities in the process of code shift, we are expected to disclose the various obstacles in cross-cultural communication.
