2003年5月,美国的著名作家和思想家Nicholas G．Carr先生曾经发表名为《IT doesn't matter》的评论文章,引起了一场轩然大波。时过境迁,今天我们看到的IT业界发展,累然遇到了Carr先生提出的问题。随后,SOA概念快速盛行,它为解决企业业务敏捷性而生,但大多数从事软件开发的技术人员却并未深刻理解到这一点。为此,《程序员》杂志再次讨论SOA,并从它的本质入手,给技术人员另外一个深入理解SOA的思路。

In May 2003, IT doesn't matter written by Mr. Nicholas G. Can, the famous American IT writer and critic triggered much controversies. However, we have witnessed the problems Mr. Can predicted years ago. The concept of SOA spreads very fast in a wide range. But it seems that most developers haven't realized the fact that the idea of SOA is created to keep business agile. We made the special to discuss SOA again, hoping that the developers can find a new way to understand SOA.
