口译的“不在场效应论”与译员的临场应对

The "Absence Effect Theory" and the Interpreter's Emergency Strategies

跨文化交际“效应论”给口译交际的研究与实践提供了一个科学的理论依据。口译的效应论所关注的交际效果取决于译员临场对口译“在场”的和“不在场”的语境因素的综合把握和灵活应对。口译员对诸如智力机制、话语背景以及自己多重身份等“不在场”语境因素的疏忽往往使口译难以达到预期的交际效果。因此,为了避免口译的“不在场效应”,译员应采取相应的临场应对策略。

The effect-oriented intercultural communication theory provides us with a theoretical guide to how to conduct interpretation, in which the effect is achieved by the interpreter＇s overall analysis and manipulation of both the ＂present＂ and ＂absent＂ contextual elements. Blind to such ＂absent＂ dynamic elements as intellectual mechanism, background information and interpreters＇ multiple identities will inevitably lead to unsuccessful interpreting. Accordingly, the interpreter should take relevant ＂emergency＂ strategies so as to avoid the ＂absence＂ effect.
