This article briefly discusses how to cognize and evaluate the risk of light platform by using the quantitive risk analysis method. Based on this,some successful applications and experiences of light platform at abroad as well as the design aspects and cost benifit analysis practice are introduced in this paper. In conclusion, some points which have to be emphasizedin the development and application of light platform are pointed out by the author.
