Consistency for XML DTDs

DTD作为一种XML文档结构的模式语言得到了广泛的使用,它描述了相似的XML文档的结构。XML DTD的一致性是指对于一个给定的DTD,判断是否存在至少有一个XML文档满足DTD。在本文中,我们在引入DTD一致性的形式化定义的基础上,分析了引起DTD不一致性的各种因素,给出了无“|”约束DTD一致性的充分必要条件。

DTD has been widely used as the schema language for XML documents. A DTD describes the structure of a collection of similar XML document. The consistency problem of XML DTDs concerns the question given a DTD D, if there any finite XML document that conforms to D. In this paper, we formalize the notion of the consistency of DTDs and identified a sufficient and necessary condition for a DTD to be consistent.
