To save the petroleum fuel and proect the environment, measures for diversification and cleanness of fuels for vehicles were adopted in the United States, thereby series of new terms concerning vehicles and fuels for vehicles has been appearing in the vehicle indusny. To make these terms knowable, this article introduces their definitions given in EPACT and CAA stipulated by the U. S. Department of Energy.
