稀土能促进甘蔗生长,提高蔗茎产量;能提高甘蔗蔗糖分含量,降低还原糖含量,改善甘蔗品质。在土质肥沃的水田蔗区,稀土主要是通过提高分蘖成茎率,增加单位面积有效茎数和促进蔗茎的增粗而提高蔗茎产量的;在旱地蔗区,稀土主要是通过促进蔗茎的伸长和增加单位面积有效茎数而提高甘蔗产量的。

RE can promote the sugarcane to grow quickly,increase cane Yield, raise sucrose content of sugarcane,decrease reducing sugar content and improve the cane quality.In the fertile paddy soil,RE can increase the cane yield mainly by increasing the percentage of available tillers,the num- ber of millablecane per unit area and the thickness of stem.In the drought region,RE can promote the stalk to elongate quickly,increase the number of millablecane per unit area,and so increase the cane yield.
