略论西汉对匈奴的“和亲”政策

On the Peace-through-Marriage Policy of the Western Han Dynasty toward the Huns

西汉对匈奴的“和亲”政策几乎贯穿西汉两百年历史,历经确立、不稳定、中断、重新确立、稳定、断绝,虽然曲折,但确是历史的必然,不仅对当时汉族和匈奴的生产、生活的发展起了重大保障作用,对两个民族的融合起了重大推动作用,更开启了西汉以后各朝代“和亲”的先河。

The paper holds that the peace-through-marriage policy that the Western Han administration adopted in the handling of diplomatic relations with the Huns, in spite of its ups and downs, contributed greatly to the stability of both the Huns and the Chinese and the merging of the two ethnic groups.
