Recently Profibus has become the popular field bus in the world. This paper introduces the communication architecture of Profibus and discusses access control model in Profibus. Then it analyses access process of Message Cycle, and presents the communication process of Profibus data link service, which is crucial to guarantee real time communication of Field bus.
