Basic Social Contradictions and Constructing Harmonious Society

认为生产力和生产关系的矛盾在现阶段表现为:社会主义市场经济建构与城乡二元结构生产力发展不平衡之间的矛盾。而经济基础和上层建筑的矛盾在现阶段表现为:社会主义民主政治建设与社会不同利益群体多样化要求之间的矛盾。在构建社会主义和谐社会中,这两对矛盾发挥着基本动力的作用。

The paper believes that the contradictions between productive forces and relations of production at present are manifested as those between socialist market economy building and unbalanced development of binary-structured production forces in urban and rural areas and those between economic basis and superstructure are shown as those between socialist democratic and political building and the diversified demands of various interest groups. In building socialist harmonious society, the above two kinds of contradictions are sure to play a role of basic driving force.
