美国社区学院教育的最显著的特点是实用主义,可表述为面向社区、崇尚实用。其课程目标具有明显的地方性和多样性;课程内容有浓郁的多元文化色彩;课程实施注重理论学习与实践知识、技能的融合,并得到政府多方面的支持与保障。这些都对我国职业教育具有重要借鉴意义。
The most notable features of pragmatism of American Community college can be expressed as community-oriented and seeking practicality. Its curriculum goals has obvious locality and diversity; curriculum content has rich multicultural color; the implementation of curriculum focus on the integration of theoretical study, practical knowledge with skill; in addition, community colleges get various support and protection from government, which all have significant reference meaning to the vocational education in China.
