Discussion about the History Evolution of the Correlation of Politics and Religion in Tibet

吐蕃王朝时期,王室因政治斗争的需要而引进佛教。从一开始佛教就与政权结合在一起。由于遭到崇本大臣的反对,佛教曾遭受灭顶之灾。但是,佛教在后宏期又开始复兴,历朝封建统治阶级根据西藏的实际情况对佛教采取了扶持的政策,使政权与教权更加紧密地结合在一起。

In the period of Tubo,the royal court imported the Buddhism because of political conflicts. From the very beginning,Buddhism was firmly combined with the political power together,once suffering a fatal destruction for the minister's opposition and reviving again in Houhong Period. Thereafter ruling class of successive dynasties adopted the supporting policy to Buddhism according to Tibet's actual situation,uniting politics and the religion closely.
