From All People Reading Age to All People Writing Age——On the World “Participation News” Movement

20世纪末,公共新闻运动虽经10年之久,却依然没有根本改变普通市民无法获取近用权、参与公共生活的状况。传统媒体自身的局限性,决定了体系内部的改革无法完成这一使命。在移动技术和网络技术的推动下,参与新闻在传统媒体系统外部逐渐兴盛开来。这种新闻传播模式并非是要取代传统模式,而是在一个全新的媒介生态环境中与传统模式互为补充。

The public news movement lasted for 10 years in the late of 20th century, but the situation still remained that ordinary civilians had no access to and no participation in the public life. The limitation of traditional media determined the impossibility of inside reform to complete this task. Now promoted by mobile and internet technologies, participation news is being prosperous outside the traditional media. This mode of news spread is not to replace the traditional one, but to be complementary in a new media ecological environment.
