Introduction was made to the main amendments to low-voltage circuit breaker international standard IEC 60947-2 the third edition 2003 standard text, in comparison with GB 14048.2-2001 standard, 11 standards are added to reference standard, and in technical terms, ＂reseting time＂ is added, and detailed regulations and description are made in test programs. In dielectric performance test, there is added with requirements for impulse withstanding voltage test, that is to require the manufacturers to provide impulse withstanding voltage Uimp for circuit breakers. Routine tests＇ test requirements are described. Amendments to Appendix A and Appendix K are pointed out.
