From Empiricism to Phenomenology:a New Philosophy of Information

信息是信息系统学科的最基本和最重要的概念。但是,在信息系统领域中,关于信息的定义有多种形式,这些构成了不同的信息观点,而这些观点又直接或间接地应用了各种不同的哲学观点。本文发现:经验主义和主观主义方法存在着难以克服的问题和局限,而现象学方法是克服以上两种方法所产生的必然结论,并由此提出了有关信息的现象学本质。

Information is the most important concept in the science of information systems. But, information has many definitions. These different notions of information directly or indirectly trace back to different philosophical theories. This paper points out that empiricism and subjectivism have formidable problems and restrictions that only phenomenology can overcome. The paper also discusses the essence of information in terms of phenomenology.
