试论汉语中的重复现象及其英译

A Study of Chinese Repetition and Its English Translation

重复是汉语中常见的一种语言现象,是汉语异质性的表现之一,它与奈达的“冗余”概念虽有交叉,但范围更广。文章分类探讨了汉语中的语义重叠、同义重复、反义重复、同词重复、叠词等五种不同的重复现象,以及对它们进行英译的各种方法。

Repetition is a common language phenomenon in Chinese. It is broader than Nida＇s ＂redundancy＂ although they have something in common. This paper discusses the five types of repetition and the method to translate each of them into English： repetition of meaning, repetition by using synonyms, repetition by using antonyms, repetition of the same word and reduplicated words.
